For example, a player who has queens in the hand that beats the player’s ace-high hand goes all-in and then receives low cards, which results in a defeat to the stronger hand.

Bluffing on the river in poker is a strategy that is a continuation of a player’s bluffing strategy from the flop. It requires betting at every level and increasing your bets as the hand becomes stronger. Bluffing on the river is different from betting big with a weak hand, hoping other players will fold. It involves analyzing the hands of other players and thinking through your actions and play before you make a move.
